I'm the founder of Wise Media Productions, which I started with my best friend Lailah Lyons. Ever since we launched, I've loved creating things and seeing life through the lens. I’m passionate about capturing moments, telling stories, and getting involved in everything that sparks creativity. For me, it’s all about finding new ways to express ideas and bring visions to life.
I love being involved in just about everything, whether it’s a big project or a small moment. Cinematography and photography really give me the chance to dive into those experiences even more. When I’m behind the camera, it’s like I’m part of the story, capturing the energy and details in a way that lets others feel what I felt. It’s not just about getting the perfect shot—it’s about being fully immersed in the moment and seeing things from a different perspective.
I'm currently a Freshmen at Penn State University, working towards my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. I know my hobbies, like photography and cinematography, might seem a little out of left field compared to the path I’m pursuing in my career. I’ve seen firsthand how the system can be messed up, and that’s one of the biggest reasons I’m pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. I don’t just want to be on the sidelines—I want to be part of the change.

I attended all four years of high school at Shiloh High School in Georgia, graduating in 2024. Shiloh gave me a mix of challenges and opportunities that shaped me in ways I’m still discovering. One of the biggest influences during my time there was my mentor, Trevon Lamar. Over the two years I spent learning under him, he had a huge impact on me, helping me stay focused and pushing me to be my best, both in and out of the classroom. His guidance really shaped how I approach challenges today, and I’m especially grateful for the time I spent as part of the pilot program for Advanced Placement African American Studies. We were the first to do it, and it was an experience that made history at not just Shiloh, but the country.

I was born in South Bend, Indiana, but my childhood was anything but stable. I moved around a lot as a kid, and I went through more than anyone should ever have to. Those times forced me to grow up a lot sooner than I should have. But instead of letting it break me, I use that pain to fuel me, to push forward and make something of myself. Eventually, I landed in Georgia, where my great-grandmother, Connie McKinnon, took me in. She took care of me throughout middle and high school, and honestly, I owe her everything. She gave me a safe space when I needed it most, and every step I take in life is because of her love and care.
Through all the ups and downs, I found my own chosen family in Angelina da Vila and Lailah Lyons. They’re like my sisters—Angelina is my person, and Lailah is like my reflection. They’ve shown me that family isn’t just about blood; it’s about the people who truly care and stand by you. I’ve learned to branch out beyond the family that no longer claims me and embrace the ones who have become my true support system. That’s who Jayden Wise is: someone who’s found strength in the love of those who choose to be in my life and who’s using that strength to build a better future.
